Please join us in celebrating the life of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman
It is hard to believe that it has been more than one year since we lost our dear friend Rachel Morningstar Hoffman. Individually, and as a community, we have all felt the lingering pain from losing such a bright flame, way before her time. Together, we have helped each other heal and each day we try to find more and more meaning in her senseless passing. Despite our grieving, we should all feel proud that behind the leadership of Margie and Mike Weiss and Irv Hoffman, so much has been accomplished in such a short time. Recently, Governor Charlie Christ signed the first ever—as in ever in the United States—confidential informant law in Florida called Rachel's Law. Starting at last year's Purple Hatters Ball and continuing at the Bear Creek Music and Art Festival, purple hats now seem to pop up at music events around the country signifying a sort of unity amongst our musical community in support of Rachel and each other. Rachel's passing brought many strangers together that now call each other friends and family and, for that, we thank Rachel. Rachel Morningstar Hoffman's memory and legacy are still alive and well. We are honored to be able to present The Second Annual Purple Hatter's Ball.

TICKETS
Tickets are $30 per person and include admission to the beautiful 400 acre property, performances by several of Rachel's favorite bands, and camping. Tickets can be purchased on the Dubconscious website or in Tallahassee at Vinyl Fever( after June 10).
WHAT TO KNOW
Gates will open to the public on Saturday, June 27th @ 2pm. The festivities will start around 5pm. No alcohol will be sold (BYOB) and no pets allowed.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
The Coordinators of this event are encouraging people to bring food to share with participants of the festival, basically giving it that potluck feel.
We are also summoning all artist and/or anyone who would like to donate items to be auctioned off for the silent auction fundraiser. All festival proceeds, donations and money raised will be donated to the Morningstar Foundation.
